Dear dear treated me to wonderful afternoon at the esplanade for the Phantom of the Opear. It's a dream come true for me, wishing that the cast will return for another play 10yrs ago. 10yrs ago, i was too young to afford the ticket and have been feeling remorseful about it. 10yrs later, this year, i was thinking too much to get want to part with my money to get the tickets. when i have finally decided to get, tickets were out. Super disappointed! But alas, my darling Dede surprised me with seats to the play that i have been yearning for the past 10 years! Thank you Dede, you are such a love!
The play is good and I would say that the band is better. The play wouldn't be the same without the wonderful band playing all the music in the background. The music is super. For someone coming from a band last time, i will say that phantom of the opera is not exactly an easy piece to perform. What's more playing for a group of people and putting it together as a musical. The story is not too bad and poor Dede was quite lost in the beginning becoz he didn't know what is the story about. I did my best to give him some background to it. After the show, we did our normal click click click and start taking photos like typical musical goers and also inject some money into the retail industry of phantom of the opera. We bought 2 t-shirts thinking maybe it will be a good idea to wear it during the photoshoot. But will see how la. Haha.. so many ideas for the photoshoot and what to wear.
For the rest of the evening, we spent our time shopping for Dede's wedding shoes. Finally got the pair at Pedro for a good price of $80 after a 10% discount from citibank. Dede commented that so far, all the items that he bought for the wedding cost at least $80. Which is so true and you know what... he has already bought 4items for the big day and i only merely bought wedding shoes! See who's the one who needs more stuff here. LOL
Need to get back to work now. Shall upload the photos from phantom real soon.
